Oldsmobile 4-4-2 Sports Coupe sells for $100,000 at Mecum St ...

While Oldsmobile 4-4-2 convertibles regularly surpass the six-figure mark at auction, it takes a little something extra for a closed 4-4-2 to earn that kind of money, particularly a sport coupe. For the 1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 W-30 Sport Coupe that sold for $100,000 at last weekend?s Mecum auction in St. Charles, Illinois, that little something extra came in the form of complete documentation and a stunning restoration.

According to Mecum, Findlay Oldsmobile of Las Vegas originally sold the 4-4-2, one of 142 Sport Coupes to feature a four-speed manual transmission that year and one of 1,688 total 1970 4-4-2 Sport Coupes. Fitted with the W-30?s 370hp 455, the 4-4-2 also came with bucket seats, Hurst shifter, 3.42 Anti-Spin rear axle, and W-27 aluminum differential cover. Collector Mike Guarise eventually obtained the 4-4-2, still with its original drivetrain, original sheetmetal, original red inner fenders, and the factory build card, then handed it off to Muscle Car Designs of Joliet, Illinois, for a full body-off restoration, which wrapped up in 2009. Since then, Guarise won a couple of awards with the 4-4-2, but otherwise left it alone alongside two other red GM supercars in his collection, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 LS6 (which sold for $80,000) and a 455-powered 1970 Pontiac GTO (which sold for $65,000).

Aside from the 4-4-2 and the Chevelle, the top 10 sales from Mecum?s St. Charles auction include a 2000 Country Coach Prevost Motorhome, which sold for $160,000; a 1937 Chevrolet Street Rod, which sold for $125,000; a 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo S, which sold for $111,000; a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie, which sold for $100,000; a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, which sold for $99,000; a 2002 Ferrari 360 Spider F1, which sold for $95,000; a 2005 Lamborgihni Gallardo Coupe, which sold for $90,000; and a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe, which sold for $81,500.

On the other end of the scale, a number of cars sold for less than $5,000 at the St. Charles auction, including a 1969 Chevrolet Caprice that sold for $2,250, a 1966 Dodge D100 Pickup that sold for $2,500, a 1985 Ford Mustang GT Convertible that sold for $2,500, a 1994 Pontiac Firebird that sold for $3,000, a 1966 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser that sold for $3,000, a 1969 Chevrolet Caprice that sold for $3,000, a 1972 Jaguar XJ6 that sold for $3,500, a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe that sold for $3,500, a 1984 London taxi that sold for $3,500, and a 1979 Lincoln Continental that sold for $3,500.

Bloomberg: Now not the time for Obama NYC visit

NEW YORK (AP) ? President Barack Obama will be getting a firsthand look at the damage done by the superstorm in New Jersey but not in New York City ? and Mayor Michael Bloomberg is OK with that.

Bloomberg on Tuesday said he spoke to Obama and his chief of staff, Jack Lew, and told them the city would "love to have him, but we've got lots of things to do."

Bloomberg said that he wasn't trying to "dis" the president and that his trip to New Jersey on Wednesday would represent the whole region.

He also spoke highly of the relationship between federal and local officials. He said that on a conference call with the president and other mayors and governors of affected areas, everybody kept saying, "Thank you for the service."

"You know, there was a lot of criticism with (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) back in the (Hurricane) Katrina days, and today, you hear nothing but good things about FEMA, and they certainly have been very helpful to us," Bloomberg said.

The White House said the president and Lew spoke to Bloomberg to let him know the president planned to travel to New Jersey and to ask the mayor if he agreed with their assessment that Wednesday would not be the right time to visit the city.

The White House typically coordinates with local officials before traveling to a disaster zone to ensure it's not drawing away any law enforcement and emergency management assets being used in the disaster response.

Tuesday's storm killed 18 people in New York City, the mayor said. It knocked out power for hundreds of thousands more, plunging the city into darkness.

Even Split on Economic Plans Marks a So-Close 2012 Contest

Mitt Romney has matched Barack Obama on the question of who's presented a clearer economic plan, a measure on which the president held a broad 16-point advantage this summer - further evidence of the underlying shifts that make the 2012 presidential race so close.

Likely voters in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll divide by 43-43 percent on who's offered a clearer plan for the economy, compared with a 49-33 percent division in Obama's favor on the same question in July - improvement for Romney as the campaign's progressed.

Romney's also advanced in another area, affirmative voting, measured by the share of his backers who say they mainly support him rather than oppose Obama. Yet Romney still trails Obama on this potentially motivational measure, one reason the president is still so competitive.

The race remains very narrowly divided - 49 percent support for Romney, 48 percent for Obama among likely voters in this poll, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates. That almost precisely matches the average, 48-48 percent, in 11 ABC/Post polls since midsummer. Even with gains by Romney on some fundamentals, there's been no breakout in this remarkably close contest. Notably, neither candidate has yet received majority support.

FOR/AGAINST - Among Obama's supporters, 77 percent say they're mainly for him, rather than chiefly against Romney. The affirmative vote for Romney is lower - 58 percent. But that's up by 10 percentage points since just after the conventions, and by a broad 22 points since July.

Comparisons to the last incumbent election, in 2004, are instructive: Eighty-six percent of George W. Bush's supporters were mainly "for" him rather than "against" John Kerry, while only 39 percent of Kerry's support was affirmative. Obama's affirmative support lags Bush's by 9 points, and Romney's exceeds Kerry's by 19; as a result, Obama's 19-point lead in affirmative voting pales compared with Bush's 47-point advantage in this measure eight years ago.

The question is whether negative voting is sufficient to motivate turnout - particularly among the more than third of Romney's supporters who are mainly against Obama, not for Romney. (In another measure, the candidates are still essentially even in "strong" enthusiasm among their supporters, also better for Romney than it was before the debates.)

MOMENTUM - As first noted Friday, Obama's managed to stem Romney's recent advances on some fundamental measures, raising questions about what had been clear post-debate momentum for the Republican.

Romney had moved by midweek to his first significant advantage in trust to handle the economy, (a 9-point lead) and battled Obama to virtual parity on economic empathy - who best understands Americans' economic problems. Today Romney still leads on the economy, by 7 points - no real slippage, but no further progress. On empathy, it's a non-significant Obama +3, again no real change from midweek, but tighter than Obama's +9 in mid-October.

VOTED? - Early turnout, so far, favors Obama: Eleven percent of likely voters in this survey say in fact that they've already voted, and they report having favored Obama by 57-40 percent, almost exactly his margin among early voters in ABC/Post polling in 2008.

Romney still has time to catch up; perhaps more important, he leads by 11 points among likely voters who plan to cast their ballots on Election Day. At this point in 2008, by contrast, Obama and John McCain were essentially even among Election Day likely voters, 49-47 percent.

While early voters so far are favoring Obama, Romney, as noted in Friday's analysis, is keeping pace with him on another measure of the ground game, voter contact. Equal numbers of likely voters say they've been contacted by the Obama and Romney campaigns (23 percent in both cases), an effort in which Obama surpassed McCain in 2008.

Obama and Romney also remain very close in contact efficiency - reaching likely voters who are their actual supporters - another area in which Obama trumped McCain.

Homing in on the 10 states designated as battlegrounds by the ABC News Political Unit (see the methodology section below for the list), contact again is very evenly matched - 43 percent say they've heard from Obama's campaign, 41 percent from Romney's. Obama had led by 13 points in battleground-state contacts two weeks ago.

Vote preferences in those battleground states also are extremely close - 48-50 percent, Obama-Romney. That compares with a 16-point Obama lead in the strongly Democratic states, and a 19-point advantage for Romney in those designated as strongly Republican.

GROUPS - Finally, the election remains marked by broad differences across partisan and demographic groups. The gender gap, for example, remains wide, an 11-point lead for Obama among women vs. a 13-point lead for Romney among men.

Romney has a 58-39 percent lead among whites, pushed ahead by 63 percent support among white men (vs. 54 percent among white women); McCain's support from white men in 2008, for comparison, was 57 percent. Also Romney is winning support from 81 percent of evangelical white Protestants, surpassing McCain's 73 percent from this group in the 2008 exit poll.

Obama counters with backing from nearly eight in 10 nonwhites, who've made up a growing share of the electorate in the past generation; they account for one in four likely voters in this survey. And Obama's winning support from 64 percent of 18- to -29-year olds, virtually on pace with his 2008 record in this group. The essential question in a close race of course, is who among these sharply divided groups proves motivated enough to cast their ballots.

METHODOLOGY - This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone Oct. 23-26, 2012, among a random national sample of 1,295 likely voters, including landline and cell-phone-only respondents. Results have a margin of sampling error of 3.5 points, including design effect. (Questions 5a, 5b and 13d were asked Oct. 24-26 among 962 likely voters; those results have a 4-point error margin.) The survey was produced for ABC News by Langer Research Associates of New York, N.Y., with sampling, data collection and tabulation by Abt-SRBI of New York, N.Y.

Partisan divisions in this survey, Democrats-Republicans-independents, are 35-29-33 percent among likely voters. Partisan divisions in the 2008 exit poll were 39-32-29 percent. "Battleground states" as designated by the ABC News Political Unit are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

After his third neck surgery on Sept. 8, 2011, Manning didn?t throw a football until late December, when he made the first of several trips to Durham, N.C. He stayed in a guest room at Cutcliffe?s home, and the Duke coach didn?t even tell his assistants who was dropping by.

?Our equipment people knew he was there,? Cutcliffe said, ?and that was it.?

For months he?d work out quietly, with a few spare players.

In March, Cutcliffe put Manning through the most grueling workout, a recreation of his 2009 AFC Championship Game win over the Jets, replaying every play from that day.

Manning flew in former Colts teammates Jeff Saturday, Austin Collie and Dallas Clark, current Broncos receiver Brandon Stokley and former Colts offense coordinator Tom Moore for the simulation.

?It was pretty impressive,? Stokley said. ?It showed you exactly what kind of detail Peyton went to in trying to get back. Most people would never even think about doing something like that.?

Tree import ban to halt disease

A ban on the import of ash trees will come into force on Monday in an attempt to halt the spread of a deadly disease, the environment secretary has said.

Owen Paterson has denied ministers were slow to react to the outbreak.

The Chalara fraxinea fungus, which causes Chalara dieback, has already killed 90% of ash trees in Denmark and has been found in East Anglia.

Mr Paterson said 50,000 ash trees have already been destroyed to try to prevent the spread of the disease.

Until earlier this week, the disease had only been recorded in a few nursery specimens.

Mr Paterson said: "We will bring in a ban on Monday. I have already prepared the legislation and we're ready to go. The evidence is clearly there."

The disease was first spotted in February, at a nursery in Buckinghamshire - a case that was confirmed in March, said the environment secretary.

Since then, examinations had been carried out at more than 1,000 sites and tree experts had been consulted.

Mr Paterson said ash trees were not imported commercially during the summer, so the amount of time that had elapsed since the initial discovery had not increased the risk that more infected trees had been brought in.

More widespread

But Tim Briercliffe from the Horticultural Trades Association insisted the government's response to the disease had been too slow.

He said: "As a trade we're very frustrated about it, because in 2009 we saw it out in Denmark on trees and we said you should ban imports now.

"They didn't do it - they suggested that it was already endemic across Europe and across the UK, and since then the disease has continued to come in, and we believe it could be more widespread than perhaps we realise at the moment."

Experts say that if the disease becomes established, then it could have a similar impact on the landscape as Dutch elm disease had in the 1970s.

This outbreak resulted in the death of most mature English elm by the 1980s. Elms have recovered to some extent but in some cases only through careful husbandry.

The East Anglia outbreak has been confirmed by plant scientists from the Food and Environment Research Agency (Fera) at the Woodland Trust's Pound Farm woodland in Suffolk, and Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Lower Wood reserve, in Ashwellthorpe.

In a statement, the Woodland Trust said that the fungal infection had been found in "mature ancient woodland and woodland creation areas on our estate".

The disease has the potential to devastate the UK's ash tree population.

Visible symptoms include leaf loss and crown dieback in affected trees and it can lead to tree death.

In Europe, affected trees are not just in woodlands but are also being found in urban trees in parks and gardens and also nursery trees.

Chalara dieback of ash has been listed as a quarantine pathogen under national emergency measures and the Forestry Commission has produced guidance, including help on how people can identify possible signs of infection.

Experts are urging people to report suspected cases of dieback in order to prevent the spread of the disease to the wider environment becoming established.

Carson even manages to build tons of sexual tension and, yes, make a kiss in a sewer hot and steamy. Bravo, Rae Carson.

I love reading about kick-ass female?heroines?and Elisa is one of my favorites. She has a big heart but uses her head. She asks for advice and help when she needs it and isn't afraid to make a hard choices and sacrifices.

This is an excellent followup to Girl of Fire and Thorns with all of our favorite characters back. There's a maturity to Elisa in this book that wasn't present throughout the first book and Crown of Embers shines because of it. This book doesn't suffer from any of the normal 2nd book in a series issues, though, I do feel the need to warn you that it ends on a cliff hanger.

I adore this series. There's action, magic and a kick-ass female heroine. If you haven't started this series yet, I?recommend?you do now.

Major love for this series. This book does not dissapoint.?

Author Note: I got a chance to meet Rae at The Austin Teen Book Festival a few weeks ago and she is awesome! I had such a great experience with her - she's funny and warm and really really nice.

"It has probably been the highlight of my life outside of getting married and having a baby," he said. "You feel an emotional release. It is something that is not recreated anywhere else in the world."

For the stoning ritual, the 3.4 million pilgrims from around the world filed in crowds through a multi-level structure housing the walls symbolizing the devil in the desert valley of Mina, outside the holy city of Mecca.

The structure of ramps maintains traffic flow, moving pilgrims on four levels past the walls, as they throw seven pebbles at each. Some have criticized the nearly kilometer-long (0.6 mile) cement structure, which resembles a mega parking garage with escalators, saying it detracts from the simplicity and spiritual aspect of hajj.

But the facility protects lives, Hajj Ministry Director General Amin Fatani, told The Associated Press. The stoning ritual has been the scene of deadly crushes and stampedes killing hundreds ? the most recent in 2006 ? as pilgrims tried to squeeze past and throw their stones, especially since there used to be pillars instead of walls, meaning the massive throngs had to focus on a smaller point. Even with the walls, pilgrims on one side often get hit by pebbles thrown by people on the other side.

"The life of a hajji is precious to the government and their safety comes first," Fatani said. "If we leave hajj the way we had it been before, there will be a catastrophe from the first day."

On Friday, Muslims marked the holiday, known in Arabic as Eid al-Adha, commemorating what Muslims believe was Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail ? the Biblical Ishmael, though Christians and Jews believe his other son Isaac was the near-sacrifice ? as a test of his faith from God.

Around the world, Muslims slaughtered lambs, sheep and other livestock in remembrance, giving the meat to the poor. At Mina, pilgrims purchased tokens to have a sheep slaughtered at nearby slaughterhouses.

The day of stoning marked an exhausting trek for pilgrims between the string of ritual sites strung across the desert outside Mecca. They spent the day Thursday at Mount Arafat in a day of contemplation and prayers to wipe away past sins. Then overnight, they went to the nearby plain of Muzdalifah to collect the pebbles they would use in the stoning ritual before heading to Mina by the morning.

Between the movements, many also went back into Mecca to again circumambulate the Kaaba, the cube-shaped structure toward which Muslims pray every day ? Islam's holiest site.

Tunisian pharmacist Ahlam Zahar said she teared up seeing the sheer number of people praying in unison as she approached the Kaaba late Thursday before coming to Mina for the stoning on Friday.

"Hajj needs energy and concentration," she said. "It's really hard under the heat."

For most pilgrims coming from poorer Muslim nations, it is common to sleep in the streets and walk the trajectory among the sites, a distance of around 30 kilometers (19 miles). Many have children or elderly relatives with them.

"I envy them," Ahmed Fahmy said of those enduring the difficult trek. "These people are following the footsteps of the Prophet (Muhammad). They could manage to get rides, but they exhaust themselves for the bigger reward with Allah."

Due to that, I doubt the video is a game-changer for moderate to conservative voters, and even could turn those middle-ideology voters off. While Lena makes a great point?that the candidate you vote for should not be something taken lightly?at the same time, this video tended to parody the seriousness of electing the president.

If you think the idea of free-roaming robotic arms holding power tools sounds alarming, you aren't alone. "If a robotic arm can do useful work, it can also hurt you badly," says Barrett. "Traditionally, people are kept far away from robot arms because the arms are dangerous. The concept of strapping robotic arms onto a person is terrifying," he says.

Parietti and Asada have tried to address some of those safety fears by building the arms from softer material. Flexible components in the robotic arm, called series elastic actuators - invented in the 1990s by Gill Pratt and Matt Williamson at MIT - mean that less damage will be done if the arms do lose control.

Dennis Hong at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg says that roboticists have spent the last 30 years attempting to make robots more springy and compliant, so they can work safely alongside humans. He says he has never come across robotic arms designed to be worn on the body.

The limbs were described at the Dynamic Systems and Control Conference in Florida last week. Funded by Boeing, their first use could be to help workers build aircraft. The broader goal, say the researchers, is for the limbs and their users to work seamlessly so that "humans may perceive them as part of their own bodies".

A difference from this CKY movie compared to the other is this one is on a rather higher budget. Throughout the duration of the film, we see the usual suspects, Bam, Bran, Ryan, Raab Himself, Rake Yohn, Art Webb 1986 and the others, jumping from moving cars, out of third story parking lot windows and all the other crazy things they could come up with. There are also the normal skating sets put in for all you boarders out there!

Review :

CKY movies were ?Jackass? before Jackass was made really. It consists of the crew from Viva La Bam in their early days doing stunts. messing around , and of course it has some skateboarding shots put in it.

Now this film has a wide mix of stuff in it. You get the stunts including barrel rolls, the shopping carts, jumping off roofs and from moving car to moving car among other. The skateboard videos and a few short videos of Mike Valley being the hulk that he is and fighting. You also get some down right disgusting stuff in here. Really what might be the standout moment of this dvd is the scene where Rabb Himself leans against a restaurant window in the middle of a busy street and then proceeds to poop all over and down the window. The shock value from the people eating are priceless as is the shot of what he actually did. That along makes the dvd.

You also get a few music videos by GnarKill! where Brandon Dicamillo shows off the fact that even when messing around he is just offbeat funny and not a bad vocalist. You get the cameos from the usual people as well like CKY and Evil Jared and Jimmy Pop from Bloodhound Gang.

Even with the low budget quality from this it still shines out as being almost nonstop laughs. If you like Jackass or any of the stars from it or the spinoffs then you will enjoy this.

Razer's gaming tablet drops by the FCC, leaves handles at home ...

Looking for a gaming tablet you can really grab? Don't look at the latest FCC filings then -- Federal regulators appear to have snagged some exclusive hands-on time with Razer's upcoming Project Fiona, and its trademark handlebars are nowhere in sight. The nunchuck-esque controllers we saw at CES didn't make it in the FCC's label location outline (seen above), but an attached accessory list makes note of a Razer-branded controller, powered by a 2800mAh battery, hinting that this prototype's gamepads might well be independent or detachable. The same document lists a 5600mAh battery for the tablet itself, as well as a model number: RZ09-0093.

The Federal documents show a heavily redesigned device, falling in line with Razer's recent community campaign: CEO Min-Liang Tan has been asking fans to help design Project Fiona on his Facebook page. Over the past several weeks, the community has weighed in on accessories, price, CPU / GPU configurations and more. Writing A Novel: ?You Mean, I Need to Edit?? | The Creative Penn

I?ve just finished the second major edit of my novel Exodus, #3 in the ARKANE series. I?m now going through again, editing it on the Kindle before releasing it to beta readers.

Some of my own editing

It?s true that writing the novel is only the start of the adventure, for it?s the editing stage that can make or break the success of your book. Guest blogger Nick Thacker has some tips.?

I just finished writing a book.

Part of me is elated; ?bouncing-off-the-walls?-excited.

The other part of me knows it?s a lie?I am, after all, a pretty ?na?ve? writer?

While I?ve ?finished? writing a book (a thriller novel, to be specific), I also know that I?m nowhere near finished with the actual process of ?book writing.?

To be clear, the words are all there. The cover?s even complete, and I?ve got some Lulu-printed hardcovers and paperbacks on the way, and the Kindle version is ready-to-go on Amazon.

And I didn?t have to ?sell my soul? to get it done.

But I?m writing this post for two reasons: to talk about the next step for myself (and you, if you?re in a similar boat), and to prolong the actual taking of the next step?

What?s the next step?

To put it bluntly, it?s the rewriting process: the editing, cutting, rehashing, rewording, etc?everything that we don?t think about when we begin the rewarding and awesome journey of book writing.

Sure, I have a pretty decent vocabulary, which I think I?m able to wield with relative ease. I also pride myself at my editing/proofreading abilities?I love to spot those incorrect there, they?re, or theirs in other peoples? work.

But when I finish an article, chapter, or larger work, when that last word is placed so perfectly on the page (or screen) in front of me?I?m done. I absolutely abhor the idea of starting again. I don?t want to revisit my characters?some have died horrible, nightmarish deaths?and scenes. I don?t want to find the typos, mistakes, and misnomers that I?ve somehow let slide the first time around?not to mention the strange wording here, the odd anachronism there. I just want to upload my Kindle file and start building my blog?s readership to sell more books.

Writing, I?ve come to find out, is maybe one part actual writing?putting words on the paper?and one part (or more!) redoing everything.

Umm, we know?

Maybe I?m just too new to this art form. Maybe I just wasn?t properly forewarned. Maybe I?m actually on to something no one?s ever thought of before.

Most likely, the importance and headache of editing down, improving, and finalizing a manuscript is something I?ve just ignored since?obviously?I need to have a manuscript written first before I?m able to really edit and rework it.

Either way, I?m now starting to realize a few key points that may be of use to others looking to push through their first novel. Here are a few items that I?ve found, after penning 110,000 words, that would have helped me enormously prior to and during my writing experience:

Planning

I can?t stress this enough. Some writers are able to ?flow? in a linear way, bouncing from chapter to chapter in a seemingly effortless way. I started writing as I began the research, and I wish I?d spent 2-3 months solely researching, planning, and studying?my characters, my settings, and my ideas.

Equipment

While I?m sure it?s not impossible to write long documents in Microsoft Word, who would want to? I used a piece of software called Storyist for a brief period, mainly for its full-screen mode, until I stumbled across Scrivener (which soon released a full-screen mode as well anyway!), which made my writing experience and compilation process not only easy, but also enjoyable. To round out my equipment set up, I used Evernote for the research and planning process and always have my MacBook Pro at my side (or on my lap).

Reading material

Usually the last thing on my mind during the writing process was reading more. I was constantly working on the manuscript, reading a few similar genre thrillers, and maintaining my non-fiction reading for work. But about three days after I hit ?Compile? and prepared my book for its first print-run, I came across Dwight Swain. If you haven?t heard of him, Google his work right now. I have a copy of Techniques for the Selling Writer in front of me now, highlighted and ready for a second read-through. Honestly, it?s not just one of the best ?how to write? books out there?it may very well be one of the most outstanding ?how-to? books on the market. His timeless advice is extremely practical, easy-to-digest, and specifically geared toward fiction writers interested in commercial viability.

I?m not going to stand on a soapbox and preach the ?one true way? for writing?as with most art forms, there?s never only one route to the destination. I?m just hoping to start a dialogue with both the seasoned writers out there and the younglings like myself who are eager and willing to learn.

The secret?

What I?ve found after writing one novel, starting a second, and completing numerous nonfiction manuscripts, is that this ?last step? should actually come first.

Obviously it?s impossible to rewrite what we haven?t written yet, but what I mean is this:

Plan ahead for the rewriting process:

• Plan ahead by outlining and layout out your novel well the first time.
• Plan ahead for the extra time it will take between going back and forth with an agent, editor, or publisher.
• Plan ahead for the marketing steps you?ll immediately want to take after you write ?The End.?
• Plan ahead for the balance between starting to promote and finishing up your WIP manuscript.

Most new writers know they?re ?supposed? to rewrite at least once or twice. I was one of these ?in-the-know? people, but yet I somehow thought that my writing was above this, and I didn?t need to rewrite.

Thankfully, I had absolutely no momentum built when I finished the first draft, so there was no eager tempting to send my masterpiece out into the world, uncut and unfinished. I threw it in a drawer and then started researching the marketing and promotional aspects of my upcoming book launch?eventually to realize that a couple rewrites were more than necessary!
